Consistency!

There is no doubt in my mind being consistent is possibly thee most important aspect in physical fitness / athletic performance and progressing towards certain goals.

And in being consistent I mean what you do in the gym, and what you do outside of the gym, eat, sleep, social lifestyle - these all play a role.

I see many people I’ve known over the years be it from my football career, or my fighting career and they are still in unbelievable condition, many in their 30s, 40s and even some in their 50s. Looking at them and thinking about how they’ve kept that condition and from talking to them, it becomes clear very very quickly they all have one thing in common - they've trained consistently, eaten consistently the same (within reason) over the years and rarely gave up any ground!

On the flip side I’ve see many people (not everyone) be in fantastic condition, or others who are getting themselves into good condition, making fantastic gains and progression all to lose that for one reason or another, or simply because things aren’t happening “fast” enough for them! So in turn they turn to a new craze, “in demand” new trainer, new fad, new detox, new diet, become vegetarian, become vegan, become paleo, become IIFYM, become a clean eater, the list goes on and on!

And the only thing I’ve seen from this is for them to go literally backwards, and thats a trend I see all too often - basically a hamster on a wheel going round and round and round (you get dizzy watching it on social media) - this is INCONSISTENCY !

BUT - all is not lost, and if you feel this is something you can identify with then I have an amazing new product for you try, you’ve probably guessed it - its CONSISTENCY!

We can all lose our way, but the fantastic thing is we can rectify this, we can make strides towards improving our body composition - little by little, step by step!

It might mean implementing small changes to your current lifestyle, and it could be simple things like - week 1 increase your water by 1/2 a litre a day, and keep improving this in small steps as the weeks go on, or aiming to get a good quality nutritious breakfast in at least 3 times per week (instead of none) and then improving on that as the weeks / months go on, If your maybe having 1 or 2 glasses of wine during the week nights then aim to cut these down possibly one day at a time over the forthcoming weeks.

We all have the power to change, all it requires a little action - action brings about change, and if we can be “consistent” with these changes those small changes cumulated together will reap massive rewards.

I’ve been pretty much consistent with my training for a long long time now, I’ve no desire to be ripped, no desire to increase muscle mass - my desire has remained what it was 10 / 15yrs ago - to stay fit, active and healthy, and that remains.
