It's been a good first week out of "lockdown" and we've been totally blessed by the weather, it's been a fantastic few days which has allowed me to get back to the grind with clients outdoors.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the general level of fitness & conditioning, I did expect a little dip in strength due to some not having a large assortment of weights - so this was expected.
Moving forward if I could give one single piece of advice, maintain your STRUCTURE - you've done so so well for the last 12 months through hard times, better times are coming so why would you even consider letting that slip!
I've seen people now in the best shape I've ever seen them, physically more conditioned than ever and I know when we look back through this our mindset will be even stronger - IF we maintain discipline and structure!
Yes, bars, restaurants, and cafes will all open again soon and this is so exciting we have the chance to go out and socialise - BUT with this if the activity levels suddenly drop and the "socialising" drastically increases you can bet there will be a few other things increasing as well !
I would hate anyone to kick themselves in 6 / 12 months time knowing they have let their activity levels drop and all of a sudden the inches / pounds have crept back on - we have the opportunity now more than ever to have a more balanced lifestyle, should you choose to want that.
Once everything opens up - keep up the activity, no matter that is, online training, gym, walking, running, swimming, hiking, whatever it is you enjoy - KEEP THE ACTIVITY LEVELS UP.
