One stone at a time !

I took this picture earlier, in fact I took quite a few and posted them on my Instagram, BUT out of all

the pictures I took I couldn’t stop looking at this one - some of the pictures don’t even look real, they’re like a set from Game Of Thrones.

BUT - this picture, now stay with me on this for another 60 seconds.

I kept looking at this picture and thinking of some of the wins we’ve had on our program - 2020 has undoubtedly been the best year by far for the amount of transformations / wins we’ve had.

But all these journeys have to start somewhere - and each journey of a thousand miles starts with one single step.

I try to instil patience in my team and to embrace the stepping stones, these stepping stones, or small wins along the way are a crucial part of the journey - not just the “end goal”.

If we’re too focused on the destination, we risk becoming overwhelmed before we even start.

SO - back to this wall !

Imagine how many stones are in that wall and did the person / people who built it focus on the overall job at hand (the final stone to be placed) or one stone at a time?

Each brick in that wall had and has an integral part to play in its overall completion - people who build stone walls don’t simply just throw stones on top of stones, each stone is carefully chosen and placed so the single stone is crucially placed in its overall “success” for being “just a wall”!

I’m blessed to have seen so many “small wins” (stones) this year and I’m inspired daily by my team, the drive, determination, focus and above all - patience. 2021 excites me already as I’ve seen just how well our programme works.
